Aftercare
Looking after your hair
Good hair kept badly still looks bad. This is the routine we send with every order follow it and virgin bundles last a year or more, RAW bundles considerably longer.
Washing
- ·Detangle gently from ends to root with a wide-tooth comb before water touches the hair.
- ·Use lukewarm water and a sulphate-free shampoo, stroking downwards never scrub or bunch.
- ·Condition mid-lengths to ends only; keep conditioner off the weft so the stitching stays tight.
- ·Rinse until the water runs clear. Wash every 8 to 10 wears, or sooner with heavy product use.
Drying
- ·Press water out with a microfibre towel don't wring or rub.
- ·Air dry on a hanger or wig stand where you can; hair dries straighter hanging.
- ·If blow drying, use a cool-to-medium setting with a nozzle pointed down the strand.
Heat & styling
- ·Always apply a heat protectant first. Keep tools under 180°C / 355°F.
- ·One pass per section. Repeated passes are what dull the cuticle over time.
- ·Body wave returns with water and a little leave-in you rarely need heat to reset it.
Between washes
- ·A light argan or hair oil on ends only keeps shine without weighing the hair down.
- ·Avoid heavy silicone serums and alcohol-based sprays; they cause build-up and matting.
- ·Refresh the scalp with a diluted tonic rather than dry shampoo at the weft.
Overnight & storage
- ·Loosely plait or wrap in a satin scarf before bed to prevent friction tangles.
- ·Never sleep on wet hair it's the fastest route to matting at the nape.
- ·Store unused bundles flat in the satin bag they arrived in, away from damp and sunlight.
Installation notes
- ·Have a professional install and remove where possible tension damage is usually fitting, not hair.
- ·Seal the weft edges before cutting into a bundle to stop shedding.
- ·For mixed-length sets, install shortest at the nape and work upwards for natural graduation.
